Her recent work is a series of figure in the landscape and landscape paintings that attempt to capture our existence and nature’s beauty with reflection and presence. Her paintings are inspired by memories and often invoke grey days, dusk and early mornings. They are fragments of her experiences, glimpses of the landscape or moments shared or observed that have captured her attention in an emotional way or in an ephemeral way, almost out of the corner of her eye. Sometimes her work portrays a quiet simplicity that captures a moment that the eye craves as a retreat from a more hectic schedule or maybe something more mysterious. Her paintings speak humbly through the depiction of trees, water, anonymous figures in the landscape, or combinations of these and weave a story of life lived through memories.

Quality in her painting technique with a particular attention to the longevity of her oil paintings is a major concern. She uses very good quality paints and her painting methods employ old masters techniques of layering with opaque and transparent colours and building up the image with glazing. Beside the important visual appeal, she does this to ensure that the paintings will last beyond her lifetime and be of lasting value to those who buy them.
