Born: Tunbridge Wells, England. Arrived in Australia in 1954. Spent 3 years training in Fine Arts at the National Arts School, East Sydney. During this time held several one-woman shows at the Nunda Gallery Canberra and exhibited in group shows throughout Australia. 1967-69: 2 years studying at St Martin’s School of Art and at the London Literary Society. . 1970-78:Held one-woman shows in: Australian Sculpture Gallery – Canberra Mavis Chapman Gallery – Sydney Manyung Gallery – Victoria 1977-78: Exhibitions: Proud’s Gallery – Sydney Cook’s Hill Gallery – Newcastle 1979: 2 person exhibition at Balmoral Gallery – Geelong Small showing at Mavis Chapman Gallery – Sydney One-woman exhibition at The Cook’s Hill Gallery – Newcastle 1979-82: One-woman exhibition at The Manyung Gallery – Victoria 1981-82: Joint women’s etching exhibitions The East End Gallery – East Sydney Exhibited in “Art for Aboriginals” – Paddington Town Hall 1983-89: One-woman exhibition at The Greenhill Gallery – Perth Pictures hung in Manyung Gallery, Inside Out Gallery, Leura Gallery and Grafton House Galleries Paintings bought by The Prime Minister’s Office – Canberra 1988: Won First Prize in the Open Drawing section of the Police Art Show 1989: Paintings bought by Japanese Corporations for exhibition in Tokyo Painting commissioned by American Ambassador in Canberra 1990–99: Exhibited yearly at: Glenaeon Craft Expo Australian Craft Show – Sydney, Canberra and Brisbane 1994: One-woman show at Southlands Gallery – Canberra Illustrated the children’s book “The Voyage Of The Ozzie Rover” by Dan Valley 1996: 2nd Prize at the Royal Easter Show Art Show Exhibited in “Birds And Their Artists” at Boyd Fine Art – Camden Joint exhibition at The Private Gallery – Surry Hills 1997: Exhibited at Rudolph Steiner School Craft Expo – Bowral Painted the jeans of triathlete Guy Leech for “Jeans For Genes” celebrity Auction at The Powerhouse Museum 1998: Exhibited in “Birds, Flowers, Lizards And Leaves” – Sydney Botanic Gardens 1999: Exhibited at Woollahra Public School Art and Craft Exhibition “Crickart” exhibition at The Bat And Ball Hotel and The Bradman Museum – Bowral Exhibited in “It’s a Guitar-shaped World No 6” – Tamworth Country Music Festival 2000-2004: Exhibited at Woollahra Public School Art And Craft Expo Exhibited at Glenaeon Craft Expo Exhibited at The Contemporary Design Craft Expo – Circular Quay Exhibited at The Australian Craft Shows – Sydney and Canberra Exhibited at Lithgow Ironfest Exhibited at The Blue Mountains Print Show – Katoomba Exhibited at Sydney Grammar School Art Show Solo exhibition at The Harp of Erin Gallery, Little Hartley Exhibited at the Affordable Art Show - Sydney, Melbourne Solo exhibition at Gallery Lane Gallery, Leura |
